Work Trip - MORA Conference, Missouri - September 2013

One of the last work trips I took for KAB was to speak at the Missouri Recycling Association Conference in Jefferson City, MO in September 2013. It was a fun road trip with my mom to hang out with fellow recyclers.

Platte Woods. MO.
The trip started out in Kansas City with a visit to see a high school friend, Beth. Platte Woods is a suburb of Kansas City near the airport. After grabbing this picture we went to the Art Museum for lunch.

Sweet Springs. MO.
Heading to Columbia, MO from Kansas City we picked up this pic.

Booneville. MO.
Just after Sweet Springs comes Booneville.

Ashland. MO.
We grabbed this picture on our way to the conference in Jefferson City. This is just south of Columbia, MO.

Outside Jefferson City. MO.
This was just outside Jefferson City. If you zoom in the water tower is near a really interesting building. Wish we had time to explore it.

Tipton. MO.
On the way back to the airport we went through Tipton.

Tipton. MO. 8-ball.
In Tipton you will find the world's largest 8-ball. This is one of those water towers you will always remember. The history of the tower can be found here. The building was a billiard manufacturing facility back in the day, hence the 8-ball. Now it is a candle making facility. I just love the clouds behind the tower in this picture.

Lamar. MO.
A few more pics on our way back to the airport.

Warrensburg. MO.
