Thanksgiving 2011 - Louisiana with the fam

So this past Thanksgiving, 2011, Owen and I went to Louisiana to visit my sister and her family. The hitch - we flew in New Orleans since I had a conference there right after the holiday. Then we drove to Monroe. The water tower hunting proved good.

Hammond. LA. This one is pretty cool with the local mascots on it  - a lion and a tree.
Roseland. LA.
Vidalia. LA. This town is kind-of cool. It is right on the river with  Mississippi and river boat casinos.
Concordia Cotton Warehouse. Ferriday. LA. I tried to find a little information about this company but couldn't. They don't have  website. But I thought the old warehouse, tower and sign were cool.
South Biyou Macon. LA. Gotta love this processing fish market sign. However I can't seem to find this town  on the map. I guess it doesn't refer to a town.
Mangham. LA.
West Monroe. LA. My sister's town. We finally arrive.

Love your water tower pics in Louisiana... I live and grew up in West Monroe... mother lives in Vidalia.
